Elise E. Davis United States Army 1 September 1895 – 13 November 1957 ELise E. Davis was born on September 1, 1895 in Roslindale. She resided at 3 Hammond St, Cambridge and 7 Francesca Ave, Somerville. Elise showed her love for our country when she was enlisted in the United States Army on October 5, 1943. She proudly served as Sergeant in the 401st Army Band, the WAC, composed entirely of women Military bands are essential to morale, the public relations, recruiting, ceremonial events, and most importantly the good old fashioned “esprit de corps.”
