Anthony Amendolia

Anthony Geatano Amendolia was born on January 1, 1925 to Salvatore and Maria Amendolia in Roxbury, MA. He spent one year in a vocational high school and then worked as a driver. Anthony showed his devotion to our country when he was inducted into the United States Army on April 15, 1943. Private First Class (PFC) Amendolia proudly served in the Company M, 113th Battalion, 558th Regiment. Amendolia received Expert Marksmanship Badges as a Machine Gunner and with a .45 Caliber Pistol. Anthony was killed in action on November 6, 1944 in France. On May 20, 1948 his body was buried at St Michael's Cemetery in Roslindale. Anthony was survived by his father, a Roxbury resident.
