James Joseph Abdon was born to Mr. and Mrs. Joseph P. Abdon on February 10, 1929 in Boston, MA. James attended St. Joseph High School, graduating in 1945. He showed his love for our country when he entered the United States Army on September 29, 1950. Private (Pvt.) Abdon proudly served with the 25th Division 27th Infantry Regiment Combat Team until he was killed in action on January 4, 1951. His body was returned to the United States aboard the Santa Clara Victory. Pvt. Abdon was awarded the Purple Heart for the heroism and devotion he demonstrated in his service to our country. He was survived by his father Joseph Abdon, of Roxbury.
