The Boston College Neighborhood Improvement Fund was established in 2013 as "a way to enhance the public realm and for which public sources of financing may be unavailable or inadequate" in the Allston-Brighton neighborhoods. This year, more than $1,000,000 was given to agencies and projects that seek to provide improvements in transportation, infrastructure, and public art in the community.
