Massachusetts has one of the largest public housing portfolios in the country. Orient Heights is a perfect example of both the state's and the city's commitments to the exapansion of affordable housing for communities. Mayor Walsh cut the ribbon to celebrate Phase I of the redevelopment of Orient Heights Overlook Terrace, and announced the $10 million commitment to launch Phase II. The mayor was joined by Boston Housing Authority Administrator Bill McGonagle, representatives from the Department of Housing and Community Development, MassHousing, and the development team of Trinity Financial and East Boston CDC. |
