Since Mayor Menino first launched the Leading the Way campaign in 2000, the City of Boston has overseen the creation of 20,473 total new units, 6,377 affordable new units, and 9,698 new dorm beds; the investment of $8.1 billion in public/private funding; and the preservation of 12,611 affordable units.
