Neighborhood Restaurant Initiative
The Neighborhood Restaurant Initiative is an effort to to support the revitalization of the city's commercial districts. The initiative provides a menu of resources ranging from business instruction to assistance with licensing and permitting, to marketing and design, and also includes a financing option.

ReStore Boston
ReStore Boston helps neighborhood business and property owners with storefront improvements. ReStore Boston has provided professional design services to over 300 businesses and completed 80 storefront improvement projects.

Women on Main
This new initiative seek better connect Boston’s women-owned Main Streets businesses to one another and to the City.

Boston Buying Power allows small businesses to benefit from competitive electricity and natural gas rates negotiated by an outside broker on behalf of the purchasing group.

Boston Invests in Growth
Boston Invests in Growth is a loan pool for large commercial developments, designed to jumpstart well-financed construction projects, create jobs, and strengthen Boston’s economy.

Partners with Non-Profits
Partners with Non-Profits provides matching grants up to a maximum of $25,000 per project per fiscal year for capital improvements to non-profit facilities located in Boston.

Boston Public Library- Kirstein Business Library
Offers a variety of business resources including directories of public and private companies, weekly and daily financial publications, investment advisory newsletters, statistics, and other listings and databases.

Center for Women & Enterprise
A non-profit organization dedicated to helping women start and grow their own businesses.

Dorchester Bay Economic Development Corporation
Dorchester Bay Economic Development Corporation acts to build a strong, thriving, and diverse community in Boston’s north Dorchester neighborhoods; working closely with neighborhood residents and partners.

The Insurance Partnership
A Massachusetts state program, the Insurance Partnership helps qualified small businesses with uninsured employees, and the self-employed, pay for health insurance. The goal of the Insurance Partnership is to reduce the number of uninsured residents in Massachusetts.

Provides a diverse group of small business owners with entrepreneurial education, new networks, and access to markets. Interise sets out to create jobs, grow businesses, and develop community leaders.

Initiative for a New Economy
The Initiative for a New Economy (INE) is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating profitable business relationships between Massachusetts based Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) and large Institutional Purchasers using a unique supplier development strategy that provides mentoring and technical assistance. 

Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Development Corporation
Promotes equitable development and equal opportunity in Jamaica Plain and adjacent neighborhoods through affordable housing, organizing, and economic opportunity initiatives that improve the lives of low- and moderate-income people and create a better community.

Massachusetts Small Business Development Center Network
The Massachusetts Small Business Development Center Network provides high-quality, in-depth business advising, training and capital access which contributes to the entrepreneurial growth of small businesses throughout Massachusetts.

Nuestra Communidad Development Corporation
Strives to best serve its community through building the wealth and enhancing the physical, economic and social well-being of Roxbury and other underserved populations in greater Boston, through a community driven process that promotes self-sufficiency and neighborhood revitalization. 

The nation’s largest volunteer business counseling service, is a nonprofit association dedicated to help those in business, about to start one, or just thinking about it. SCORE is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration.

State Office of Minority and Women Business Assistance
Promotes the development of certified minority business enterprises (MBE), women owned (WBE) business enterprises, and minority non-profit (M/NPO) and women (W/NPO) non-profit organizations. It does this by facilitating their participation in Massachusetts business and economic development opportunities. 

U.S. Small Business Administration
Aims to, promote aid, counsel, assist and protect the interests of small business concerns, to preserve free competitive enterprise and to maintain and strengthen the overall economy.
