Mission: The mission of Boston Centers for Youth & Families is to enhance the quality of life for Boston's residents by supporting children, youth and families through a wide range of programs and services.

  • Community Center Visits Slightly Down
January of 2012 marked the first month that BCYF sites reported their Key Performance Indicator data solely through our newly implemented BosTrax membership/participant management data system. While BCYF is excited to have this new technology fully implemented, there is also an anticipated decline in overall numbers that is attributed to a new method of tracking data.
  • BCYF Streetworkers Reach Out to Boston's Youth
Youth engaged by Streetworkers is 13% lower than the third quarter of FY11. The decline is due in part to the high turnaround rate of Streetworkers. BCYF recently hired new Streetworkers and we anticipate the numbers to increase next quarter.
