Performance Reviews

Beginning in fiscal year 2010, BAR data has been used to support regular Performance Reviews with major city departments.  These formal meetings provide a regular opportunity for senior City leadership to use data to analyze performance, develop strategies, and track implementation toward achieving performance goals.

These meetings are attended by senior officials including the Mayor’s Chief of Staff, the Director of Administration and Finance, cabinet chiefs, department heads, and management, budget and policy analysts.

Through these regular meetings City leaders are able to align citywide performance strategies, increase departmental accountability, and ultimately connect dollars, actions, and results.

These formal meetings are in addition to the regular dissemination and review of reports on key departmental performance indicators, which consist of the departments most important performance measures.  These reports are regularly used by the Mayor and his Cabinet and are available here for your review.
